PROFILE
アメリカ滞在中にテーラーと出会いデザインを始める。アントワープ王立芸術アカデミー在学中にイェール国際モードフェスティバルに選出。その後アントワープにおいてニットデザイナーに師事し2006年に帰国。07年POESIEをスタート。21_21DESIGN SIGHTでの“ヨーロッパで出会った新人たち展”、ROCKET GALLERYでのエキシビション等インスタレーションでの発表を開始。09S/Sシーズンよりレーベル名をAKIRANAKAに変更し東京コレクションに参加。同年ベストデビュタントアワード受賞。立体裁断から生み出される独創的なカットラインを強みとし、”アティチュードを纏う” をブランドコンセプトとしてコレクションを展開。

During his stay in the U.S., he met a tailor and started designing. While attending the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, he was selected for the Hyeres International Mode Festival. He studied under a knit designer in Antwerp and returned to Japan in 2006, and started POESIE in 2007. In the 2009 S/S season, he changed the label name to AKIRANAKA and participated in the Tokyo Collections. In the same year, won the Best Debutante Award.
The brand’s strength lies in its original cut lines created by three-dimensional cutting, and the collections are developed under the brand concept of “Wearing Attitude”.
