PROFILE
1997年文化服装学院を卒業後、パリのStudio Bercot に入学
Arexandre Matthieuのアシスタントを経て自身のブランドを2005年よりパリを拠点にスタート。
シーズンごとにデザイナー自身が物語を書き、「彼から見た彼女の服。」というコンセプトのもと、物語の中に出てくる情景をプリントやディテールに落とし込む。
2010年に拠点をパリから東京に移し、現在、熊本に直営店を構える。
直営店では、セミオーダーライン[ wallflower by jun okamoto]も展開。
10年以上に渡るアーカイブのパターンに、オリジナルの生地などを中心にカスタムしていくセミオーダーラインは、サスティナブルな取り組みの一環としても注目を浴びている。
After graduating from Bunka Fashion College in 1997, entered Studio Bercot in Paris.
After working as an assistant to Alexandre Matthieu, he started his own brand in Paris in 2005.
The designer himself writes a story for each season, and incorporates the scenes that appear in the story into prints and details based on the concept of “her clothes as seen by him.”
In 2010, he moved his base from Paris to Tokyo, and now has a directly managed store in Kumamoto.
The directly managed store also has a semi-order line [wallflower by jun okamoto].
The semi-order line, which focuses on customizing original fabrics and other items based on archive patterns that have been around for over 10 years, is also attracting attention as part of sustainable efforts.
