文化学院卒業。1962年 デザイナーデビュー。1975年 パリコレクション初参加。1976年 1988年 FEC賞受賞。1985年 パリギャラリーヴィヴィエンヌにブティックをオープン。著書「着物、着ましょ。」出版。1995年 FEC話題賞、毎日ファッション大賞大賞受賞。2005年 ’05-’06 A/W のパリコレクションがデビュー30周年（60回目）を迎え、毎日ファッション大賞特別賞を受賞する。’07 S/S 東京コレクションは第19回東京国際映画祭とのコラボレーションにより実施。2008年・2010年上海ファッションウィークに招聘デザイナーとして参加。2011年デザイナー活動50周年、100回目のコレクションを迎えた。 2014年2月著書「YUKI TORII STYLE BOOK」出版。ブラックフォーマルやメンズライン、ユニフォーム等のライセンスも手掛ける。

After graduating from Bunka Gakuin, Torii made her debut as fashion designer in 1962. Torii joined Paris collection for the first time in 1975. She won FEC Award in 1976 and 1988. She opened a boutique in Galerie Vivienne in Paris in 1985. She published her own book “Kimono, Kimasho (Let’s wear Kimono.)” In 1995, she won FEC Wadai(Hot/high-profile) Award and Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix. She celebrated 30 years as a designer during Paris collection 2005-2006 A/W and won Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix Special Award. Torii collaborated with the 19th Tokyo International Film Festival in Tokyo collection 2007 S/S. Torii was invited to Shanghai fashion week in October 2008 and 2010. 2011, celebrated the 50th anniversary as a fashion designer,the collection-show reached 100th time. 2014 published her own book (YUKI TORII STYLE BOOK). Her activities have been extending to costume design for black formal wear, men’s wear, uniform and the other numerous goods under brand license.
