東京生まれ。5歳の時にフロリダで見たディズニーキャラクターのコスチューム制作現場に衝撃を受け、
ファッションデザイナーになることを決意。
東京の大学でファッションを専攻し卒業。その後英国の大学へ留学しファッション、ウィメンズウエアを専攻。
在学中にロンドンとニューヨークのメゾンにてインターンの経験を経て卒業。
卒業後直に帰国し、東京のメゾンでデザイナーとして経験を積む。
2017年6月、自身のブランドRURI W.をスタート。

Born in Tokyo, Japan.
At the age of five, she was deeply inspired by visiting a studio where Disney character costumes were created in Florida, USA, which led her to pursue a career as a fashion designer.

She studied fashion at a university in Tokyo and later moved to the UK to further her education, specializing in womenswear. During her studies, she gained professional experience through internships at fashion labels in London and New York.

After graduating, she returned to Japan and worked as a designer at a fashion label in Tokyo.
In June 2017, she launched her own brand and began creating collections under the name RURI W.
